우리들 이야기

목장은 가정에서 모이는 교회입니다. 하나님의 아들 예수님께서 피로 사신 교회입니다. 그러므로 그 가치를 설명하거나 평가할 수 없습니다. 우리 주위에 ‘교회’의 이름으로 모이는 일반 교회들 중에는 사람이 많이 모이는 교회도 있고, 적게 모이는 교회도 있습니다. 그렇게 많이 모이는 교회는 좋은 교회이고 적게 모이는 교회는 좋지 않은 교회가 아닙니다. 왜냐면, 그 지역의 특징이나 교회의 독특한 상황과 열매가 다르기 때문입니다. 예를 들어 작은 도시에는 비교적 사람이 적게 모일것입니다. 이처럼 적게 모이는 교회의 목사님이나 교회 식구가 하나님이 기뻐하시는 일을 더 많이 할 수 도 있기 때문입니다. 그래서 한국에서 ‘큰 교회‘에 다니다가 왔다고 누가 말을 해도, 저는 그 분이 큰 믿음을 가진 분이라고 생각하지 않습니다. 같이 신앙생활을 하다보면 다 드러나기 때문입니다. 마찬가지로, 많이 모이는 목장과 적게 모이는 목장이 있습니다. 예수님 영접과 세례가 자주 일어나는 목장도 있고 몇 년이 지나도 없는 목장도 있습니다. 

그런데 이런 외적인 것들을 보면서 ‘잘 하는 목장, 잘못하는 목장‘이라고 평가하지 않습니다. 어떤 목장은 그 목장 식구가 전부 VIP(비신자나 믿음이 약한 분)이라서 매주마다 목장 모임을 하지 못할 때도 있습니다. 어떤 목장은 목자님이 혼자 음식을 준비하고 집을 오픈해야 하는 경우도 있습니다. 상황이 어떠하든지 가정교회임을 기억하고 목장을 끝까지 하려고 헌신하는 분을 존경하고 고맙게 생각합니다. 세상은 양과 질을 보고 좋고 나쁨을 평가합니다. 하지만, 하나님의 나라는 그렇지 않습니다. 먼저 된 자가 나중되고, 나중 된 자가 먼저 됩니다. 아침에 포도원에 일꾼으로 부름 받은 자와 저녁에 부름 받은 일꾼이 같은 상을 받습니다. 때로는 일정기간 동안 목장 모임을 전혀 할 수 없어서 연합목장을 하기도 합니다. 그래서 목장 모임을 계속 할 수 있게 되고, 감각을 가지게 되고, 섬김을 쉼 없이 연습하는 기회를 줍니다. 하지만, 목자님에게 VIP와 목장식구가 생기게 되면, 자연스럽게 독립합니다. 목장은 교회이기 때문이죠. 

A House Church is a church gathered in the home. The church was redeemed by the Blood of Jesus, Son of God. So we can not evaluate its value. There are churches with many members and fewer members than traditional churches. The number of members gathered during the church service is not an indicator of a good or bad church. It is all because churches may have different situations and fruits based on their regional characteristics and other unique challenges. For example, if the church is located in a small town, fewer people may gather during church services. Ministers and members of churches with smaller members may do more ministries that please God. So I don't think those, who have attended "mega-church", have a bugger faith. Because ㅐour quality of faith will be revealed as we live together. The same thing applies to our HCs. There are HC with more members and HC with fewer members. Some HC experience baptism and VIPs receive Jesus, but some HC may not experience any for years. 

We should not assess these HCs based on those external qualities. Some HC may gather with all VIP members (non-believers or members with small faith) so that they may not have HC every week. Some HC leader may prepare all meals and open his/her house all the time. I respect and thank those HC leaders who continued to try to meet and commit to the cause no matter what. The world may judge you based on quality and quantity. However, the Kingdom of God is different. Many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first. those workers who were called in the morning and in the evening for the vineyard received same wage. Sometimes, we have joint HC because some HC can't have HC meeting by themselves. By doing so, those HC may continue to have HC meeting, train HC, and provide an opportunity to serve without the break. However, if HC leader has new VIP and HC members, they get separated naturally. It is all because HC is indeed a Church.
