우리들 이야기

저는 2010년 1월 목회자를 위한 가정교회 세미나에서 최영기 목사님의 강의를 듣고 처음 가정교회를 배웠습니다. 가정교회는 단순히 성경대로 해보려는, 성경적인 교회를 회복하려는 운동입니다. 시대가 지나면서 많은 교회와 교인들과 목회자들이 원래 성경에서 말하는 모습을 잃고 변질된 전통에 매여 있었는데, 가정교회는 다시 성경이 그려준 교회의 모습으로 돌아가야 하는 것을 알려주었습니다. 가정교회를 통해서 많은 믿지 않는 분들이 예수님을 믿게 되었습니다. 그런데 30년동안 가정교회의 원래 정신을 최목사님으로부터 배운 목회자와 교회들이 또 다른 사람들에게 가르치면서, 조금씩 색깔과 모양이 달라지는 것을 느끼게 되었습니다. 2023년 최목사님을 모시고 VIP초청 집회를 할때 개인적으로 대화를 하면서 느낀 것은 저의 모습 속에서도 처음 들은 가정교회 정신이 색깔이 조금 바뀐 부분을 느꼈습니다. 

그때 드는 생각이 3가지를 해야겠다는 것입니다. 첫째는 50대 이하의 젊은 목사님들과 최목사님과 만남으로 코칭을 통해 가정교회를 전수해야 겠다는 것입니다. 그래서 다음주 22-24일까지 보스턴에서 7목회자 가정이 최목사님과 만나 배움의 시간을 갖게 되었습니다. 앞으로 가정교회를 잘 할수 있는 차세대 목회자들을 찾아 섬기려고 합니다. 둘째는 가정교회 정신을 더 보존, 계승, 전파하기 위해서 최목사님의 유튜브 채널을 만드는 것입니다. 몇개의 영상들이 있지만, 영상을 제작해서 채널에 정기적으로 올리려고 합니다. 셋째는 최목사님의 모든 자료를 한 곳에 모아 웹사이트를 만드는 것입니다. 칼럼, 영상, 책, 간증 등을 모아서 누구든지 최목사님으로부터 가정교회를 배우기 원하는 분들이 쉽게 전수 받는 공간이 되는 것입니다. 우리교회가 가정교회를 통해서 복을 받았으니, 이런 섬김으로 가정교회를 더 확장하는데 도움이 될 수 있을 것입니다. 

I learned about HC for the first time during the 2010 January HC seminar for pastors after taking Rev Chai, Youngkui's Lecture. HC is simply the movement of Biblical Church Restoration by doing "what the Bible tells us to do." As generations come and go, many churches, congregants, and ministers lose the original meaning of church but are tied to a distorted image of the church. But HC informed us that we must go back to the original shape of the church that the Bible has demonstrated. Many non-believers believed in Jesus throughout HC. However, I felt some diverged from the original HC's color and shape little by little as many ministers and churches, who learned from the original spirit of HC from Rev. Chai, taught to others for over 30 years. When we hosted the 2023 VIP invitational revival with Guest speaker Rev Chai, I and Rev Chai had a private conversation. What I realized was that even I have steered a little from the original spirit of HC that I first learned. 

So, I decided to do three things. First, I decided to pass down HC to younger pastors under 50s by meeting and coaching them with Rev. Chai. So we've arranged a conference for 7 Pastor families with Rev Chai in Boston from 22-24 JAN to meet and learn. We plan to find and serve next-generation pastors who can do HC well. Second, to make a YouTube Channel designated for Rev Chai to preserve, carry, and spread the spirit of HC. There are some videos, but we would like to make videos and upload them on the channel regularly. Third, we plan to make a website gathering all of the resources from Rev. Chai. Rev Chai's Column, video recordings, books, testimony, etc., we will post them over the website. So whoever wants to learn about HC from Rev Chai may go on the website and easily learn and receive guidance. Our church is blessed throughout the HC, so this serving may help contribute to the expansion of HC.
