우리들 이야기

2022년 6월에 위임을 했으니까, 제가 비전교회 담임목회를 한지 3년이 되었습니다. 저에게는 외부적인 사역보다는 비전교회 사역이 가장 중요합니다. 비전교회가 건강하게 잘 서야지 다른 사역도 할 수 있기 때문입니다. 그래서 외부집회는 일 년 52주의 십일조에 해당하는 5-6번만 하려고 생각했습니다. 지난 3년간에 여러 선교사님들의 요청이 있었지만 선교지에 가지 않았습니다. 그런데 볼리비아 목장에서 섬기는 최승복 선교사님은 매년 목자 컨퍼런스와 목회자 컨퍼런스에 와서 강의를 해 달라고 부탁을 했었습니다. 최승복 선교사님은 남미 볼리비아에서 1994년에 선교사 파송을 받아 갔습니다. 2010년에 가정교회를 시작하였고, 현지인을 대상으로 아우로라 교회를 개척해서 목회하시고, 몬떼로 교도소와 아가페 기독교 학교를 통해 하나님의 복음을 증거하고 있습니다.  교인들의 80% 이상이 타교회의 경험이 없는 VIP이며, 최선교사님은 성령님의 능력으로 많은 치유와 역사로 쓰임 받아, 지난 코로나 기간 중에도 계속 해서 목장이 분가되고 세례가 매달마다 있었다고 합니다. 

그리고 가정교회를 위해서는 2019년부터 ‘목회자를 위한 가정교회 세미나’를 4번 개최하였고, 5번은 ‘평신도를 위한 가정교회 세미나’를 진행하여 2023년까지 약 80여명의 목회자와 200여명의 평신도 사역자들이 세미나를 수료했습니다. 2023년 부터는 목회자를 위한 컨퍼런스를 개최하고 있습니다. 이렇게 열심히 섬기는 최 선교사님이 저에게 3년째 요청하는 이유가 있을 것 같아서, 금년에는 섬기기로 했습니다. 금년 10월 22-24일까지 볼리비아에서 현지인 목사님들을 모시고 가정교회 컨퍼런스가 있는데, 이 때에 필요한 사역은 저의 강의, 목자님들의 간증이라고 했습니다. 그리고 토요일은 교도소를 방문하여 복음을 전하고, 태권도와 무용, 혹은 드라마 공연을 하면 좋을 것 같습니다. 주일에는 예배에 참여해서 간증과 설교를 하고, 만약 더 있을 수 있다면 월요일에는 주변에 가까운 곳에 선교사님과 관광을 하면 좋을 것 같습니다. 마음에 감동이 오시는 분은 같이 가시고, 여건이 되지 않으면 기도와 물질로 협력하시기 바랍니다. 여러분이 공연이나 간증같은 활동에 참여하지 않아도 됩니다. 그냥 같이 가서 옆에서 기도하는 것만으로도 배우고 느끼는 것이 많을 것입니다. 매년 한 나라를 정해 갈 것입니다! 

I became a senior pastor of the Vision church 3 years ago, since my inauguration was in June of 2022. Vision Church ministry is my number 1 priority over other external ministries. It is because we can do well in other ministries if only Vision Church is built healthy and strong. That is why I decided to do external ministries about 5-6 weeks a year, equaling one-tenth of 52 weeks in the year. I didn’t go to the mission field of our missionaries, despite many missionaries wanting me to visit for the past 3 years. However, our missionary, Seungbok Choi, in Bolivia (served by our Bolivia headquarters), has been our guest speaker for our annual HC lay leaders’ conference and HC ministers’ conference for years. Seungbok Choi was dispatched to Bolivia, South America, back in 1994. He started HC in 2010. He founded Aurora Church for the locals in the area and serves the church. Also, he witnessed and shared the Good News of God through his ministries in Motero Prison and Agape Christian School. His church is composed of more than 80% VIPs without any prior church experience. The Power of the Holy Spirit utilizes missionary Choi with His healing and His works, experiencing the HC grow in numbers even during the COVID era, with monthly baptisms given to the church members. 

For Missionary Choi’s HC ministry, about 80 ministers and 200 lay leaders completed the seminar between 2019 and 2023, throughout 4 times of “HC seminar for ministers” and 5 times of “HC Seminars for lay leaders.” Starting in 2023, he is hosting a HC Conference for ministers. I decided to be the guest speaker for his ministry because I do believe there is a reason for his request, if this passionate missionary Choi has been asking me to come over for the past 3 years. The request for this mission trip is to serve as a guest speaker for me and to share personal testimonies for our HC leaders during HC Conference for local Bolivian ministers from 22nd to 24th October this year. It would be good if we could join the prison ministry to share the Gospel with inmates. Also, it would be good if we could perform short skits, taekwondo demonstrations, or dance shows. On Sunday, we are planning to attend the Sunday Service with preaching of a sermon and sharing our own testimony. If time permits, we would do a tour of the area in nearby tourist attractions with the missionary Choi. If you are touched and willing, please join us for the mission trip. You may learn and experience by simply joining the mission trip and praying with the team. Every year, we will choose a country and go on a mission trip there!
