우리들 이야기

오는 2월 2-4일에는 평신도를 위한 세미나(평세)와 어린이목장 사역자 세미나(어목세)를 동시에 하게 되었습니다. ‘평세’는 가정교회를 왜 하는지를 설명해 주는 세미나인데, 우리교회가 십여년을 섬겨온 것입니다. 하지만 ‘어목세’는 각 교회에서 어린이 목장을 왜 해야 하는지를 설명해 주는 것으로, 우리교회에서 처음으로 합니다. 무언가를 오래할 때는 익숙하기 때문에 ‘하던 대로’라는 자세를 갖기 쉽고, 자칫 중요한 부분을 잊어 버릴 수가 있습니다. 그래서 ‘좋은 긴장‘과 기도하는 것이 필요합니다. 이렇게 평세와 어목세로 섬길수 있는 교회는 북미 40여개 교회 중에서 현재 휴스턴 서울교회와 우리교회 밖에 없습니다.  이 말은 이런 섬김의 책임과 특권이 우리 교회에게 있다는 뜻입니다. 하나님께서 가정교회를 통해 주신 축복과 부흥과 행복을 우리 교회만 누릴 것이 아니라, 다른 교회들에게 섬겨야 할 사명이 있는 것입니다. 

실제 이 사명에 순종해서 지금까지 목회자를 위한 가정교회 세미나는 8월에, 평신도를 위한 세미나는 2월에 매년 하고 있습니다. 세미나에 다녀간 목회자와 평신도들은 눈물어린 기도와 노력으로 성경적인 교회를 회복하려고 노력하고 있습니다. 목회자들이 행복한 목회를 하고 있다고 하고, 가정교회에 동참하는 평신도들이 목장 목회를 하는 보람과 열매를 간증할 때면, 우리교회 식구들이 보람과 감사가 넘치게 됩니다. 하지만, 모든 비전교회 식구들이 다 와서 사역에 동참할 수 있는 것은 아니지만, 같이 도울 수 있는 방법은 있습니다.  세미나 위한 지정 헌금, 간식이나 물을 사주는 것, 공항에 한 번이라도 라이드 하는 것, 설거지, 음식이나 간식 준비에 함께 하거나, 세미나 전에 교안 파일 만드는 것, 민박하는 것 등 많이 있습니다. 또한 2박 3일동안 세미나를 위해서 기도할 수 있습니다. 하나라도 참여하여 보람과 상을 함께 경험하시기 바랍니다.  

We are hosting HC seminar for lay leaders and Children’s HC from 2-4 February at the same time. Our church has been serving HC seminar for lay leaders for over 10 years- this seminar teaches why we are doing HC. However, our church is hosting HC seminar for Children’s Ministers for the first time- this seminar teaches why each church needs to do Children HC. If people have been doing something for a long time, people tend to do what they are comfortable with and may be prone to forget what is important. So we need to pray with a 'Good Stress'. There are only two churches, our church and Houston Seoul church, amongst 40 churches in North America that can host both HC seminars for lay leaders as well as for Children’s Ministers. This means our church have both responsibilities and privilege of serving. We should not just enjoy the blessings, revivals, and happiness that God allowed us throughout HC, but to serve with other churches- this is our calling. 

Indeed, we have been answering this calling by hosting the pastor's HC seminar in every August as well as hosting the Lay Leaders' HC seminar in every February. Many ministers and Lay leaders, who have attended seminars, are striving to restore the Biblical Church to the best of their abilities, tears, and prayers. Our church members are deeply touched and filled with thanksgiving whenever those pastors and lay leaders share their testimonies of their fruits in ministry and how happy they are with their HC Ministry. However, Not all Vision Church Family members can come and participate this ministry but there are ways to help/support altogether. You may join by giving HC seminar designated offerings, contributing with refreshments/beverages, giving rides to/from the airport, washing dishes, preparing food for the seminar, making pamphlets before the seminar, providing house stay rooms, and there are many more. Also, you may pray for the seminar for 2 nights and 3 days. Please join with at least one of the above so that you may be touched and experience the heavenly reward.
